He previously served as Director of Tax Credits & Incentives at Omega Accounting Solutions where he led the R&D Tax Credit and Tax Controversy Services divisions.

In his role at Sagemont, Matt applies deep technical expertise in federal and state tax regulations to guide clients through the intricacies of the R&D Tax Credit, delivering strategic insights, documentation support, and audit defense. Over his career, Matt has successfully led thousands of R&D tax credit engagements, helping organizations across industries maximize benefits, support compliance, and unlock long-term value.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Management & Entrepreneurship from Texas Tech University, grounding his tax credit practice in a strong foundation of business strategy and financial acumen.
